Ortho Advantage specialises in the complex orthotic management of neuromuscular disorders.

We are a locally owned and operated Gippsland Orthotics practice providing high quality care by collaborating with specialists to deliver healthcare to South Gippsland Coast locals and minimise travel outside the region. We have a special interest in ensuring that our clinical practice is of the highest integrity and evidence-based, always aiming to find new and better ways to provide a contemporary service for regional living.

The team at Ortho Advantage has diverse experiences working in rural and metropolitan locations in Australia and overseas. All clinicians are Certified Orthotist Prosthetists (C-OP) with AOPA. We strive to assist people to achieve their goals and needs by utilising a patient-centred approach. We endeavour to improve participation and quality of life in the community by providing accessible and high-quality orthotic services in a timely manner.

Meet the Team

Amelia Tobias

Lead Orthotist

Amelia Tobias earned her degree through Latrobe University and is a certified practicing member of the Australian Orthotics and Prosthetics Association. Amelia has experience working with children and adults across a range of settings in Australian and the Solomon Islands. Amelia is particularly passionate about complex neuromuscular disorders, amputation prevention and rural practice.

Outside of Orthotics, Amelia is a potter, sailor and furniture maker.

Pania Elmsly

Clinic Coordinator

Pania has extensive experience in customer service and communications. She provides administration and tech support to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.

Pania is available to answer all of your questions. If she doesn't know the answer - trust us, she will find out!

Outside of work Pania learns Māori, enjoys surfing and is always up for an adventure.

Pam Tobias

Accounts Manager

Pam has lifetime experience in customer service and accounts management. She provides book keeping support to ensure the practice can grow and innovate.

Outside of work Pam enjoys gardening, drawing and joining the grey normads for a 5 o'clock wine.

Tom

Casting Extraordinaire

Tom is completing his building apprenticeship and is an all round handy person. He provides workshop support and is the one who fills the plaster casts ready to be modified.

Outside of work Tom competes in tri-athalons and enjoys his 20 acres of blackberrys and goats.
